Recipe Edition
There are increasing demands for nutritional information about your
food products. Hospitals are demanding that the nutrition composition
of food products be supplied in tenders.
Traditionally this has involved sending the food to a laboratory for
chemical testing, getting the results back, having to change the formula
to meet nutritional criteria, then sending it off again for testing,
only to find you have to repeat the whole process again.
Now there is a better way. With the SERVE computerised nutrition analysis
system you can obtain an analysis of the nutrient content of your food
product by typing in the amounts of the ingredients. As you refine the
recipe you can alter the amounts and see immediately whether the recipe
meets your nutrient criteria.
SERVE has three Australian databases available: the special
recipes database, with over 4000 foods, AUSNUT with over 4500 foods and NUTTAB
with over 1800 foods. Each food has approx 30 nutrient values. Also available is the New Zealand
database, with over 3000 foods and food supplements, each with 53 nutrient
values.
You can also use SERVE to generate your own nutrient information labels.
"SERVE costs less than three chemical analyses, so I have saved
thousands of dollars already. More importantly, I have saved considerable
time in obtaining the nutritional data, and I can tailor-make formulations
to meet our customers' requirements."
